Wallace Foster
December 14, 1943 - May 1, 2015
Wallace Foster, of Claresholm, passed away Friday May 1, 2015 at Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre after a long battle with the complications of diabetes and cancer.
Wallace was born in Wadena, Saskatchewan to Wallace and Agnes (Murray) Foster and raised on the family farm in the Lintlaw area. He was pre-deceased by both his parents, sisters Norma Foster, Phyllis Sommerville and Bernice Matear; and most recently by nephew Matthew Barteski (Invermay, SK) and niece Kim Foster (Regina, SK).
He leaves to mourn his passing, Robina Madsen-Lyons his life partner, companion and caregiver.
He is survived by his three sons; Allen Foster (Tracy), Hugh Foster (Connie) and Clifford Foster (Chantel). He is grandpa to grandchildren: Joey, Cole, & Braden; Brook, Kailey and Dean; Hailey and Courtney. Also survived by his first wife and mother of their sons, Carol Foster of Mannville; sister Jean Barteski, brother Murray Foster (Glenda), and Aunt Janet Paley of Prince Albert. In addition, numerous nieces and nephews from British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The family wishes to extend a heart-felt thank you to Dr. Smith and the Claresholm General Hospital Nursing Staff for their gentle and compassionate care.
Upholding Wallace’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no Memorial Service at this time. In his memory, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association (204-2323 32 Ave NE Calgary, Alberta T2E 6Z3) or Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre of Claresholm (Box 700 Claresholm, Alberta T0L 0T0).
