<div itemprop="description">Mary Hildebrand (nee Olenick) born in Reston, MB on October 5, 1924, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2014, at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre in Claresholm, AB at the age of 89. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Rattray (Winnipeg, MB) and Olive (Mike) Horbulyk (Burnaby, BC) and one brother John (Verna) Olenick (Reston, MB). She is also survived by her five loving children Stewart Hildebrand (Ft. Macleod, AB), Del (Jo-Ann) Hildebrand (Ft. Macleod, AB), Darlene Hildebrand (Penticton, BC), Russel (Deborah) Hildebrand (Invermere, BC) and Shirley Hildebrand (Garry Swan) (Innisfail, AB). Surrounded by much love in her life, she also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Abram Hildebrand (1999); her siblings George Olenick, Nell Palmer, Oneufri Olenick, Nick Olenick, Ted Olenick, Eli Olenick, and Vicki Isles; a granddaughter, two great grandsons and one great great grandson. <br />Mary embodied what it meant to live selflessly and love unconditionally. Her joys in life over the years were vast and varied, including babysitting all the grand babies and the neighbourhood kids; selling 50/50 tickets at sporting events and adopting the name &ldquo;Grandma Dynamite&rdquo;; baking for the Claresholm Farmers&rsquo; Market &ndash; made fresh the night before and never frozen was here motto; crocheting with love for family and friends; taking road trips to visit family at every opportunity; playing Bingo; cheering on the Calgary Flames; and most importantly always having amazing baking and food at the ready for each and every friend or family member that crossed her threshold, whether it was for a celebration or simply a friendly hello. Regardless of the time of day or day of the week, the coffee was always on at Grandma&rsquo;s house. <br /> <br />A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Leyden&rsquo;s Funeral Home, Claresholm. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Claresholm &amp; District Health Foundation, Box 2638, Claresholm, AB, T0L 0T0 or call 1-403-682-3739. <br /></div>
