<div itemprop="description">HENRY, Lorne Eugene (Gene)<br />December 12, 1936 &ndash; July 4, 2014<br />Lorne &ldquo;Gene&rdquo; Henry passed away at the Claresholm General Hospital on July 4, 2014 at age 77. He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn; his children Sandy (Marlys), Tim (Sherry) and Leah Gillespie; his 7 grandchildren; his brother Bruce (Carol) Henry; his sister Lois Kiemele; and his brother-in-law <br />Jim (Glenna) Gellatly. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Marion Henry; his grand-daughter Lindsay; his son-in-law Doug Gillespie; and his brother-in-law Ted Kiemele. <br /><br />Gene was born in Majorville, Alberta, on his grandparent&rsquo;s farm, December 12, 1936. He attended school in Queenstown and Milo. On July 22, 1961, Gene married Lois Marilyn Gellatly from High River and together they raised their 3 children on the family farm near Milo. Gene enjoyed farming for 50 years; chasing his cows and spending time with his grandchildren. He and Marilyn retired in 2006 and moved to Claresholm. He enjoyed his retirement riding in the foothills and helping out at different ranches.<br /><br />A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Leyden&rsquo;s Funeral Home (4079-1st Street West) at 1:30 pm with Pastor Donna Alm officiating. Inurnment to follow at the Claresholm Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Gene&rsquo;s memory can be made to the Claresholm and District Health Foundation (P.O. Box 2638, Claresholm, Alberta T0L 0T0).<br /></div>
