<div itemprop="description">Norby, Arnold Sam <br />August 21, 1932 &ndash; March 13, 2013 <br /> <br />It is with great sadness, the family of Arnold Norby announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grampa and brother on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. <br /> <br />Arnold is survived by his loving wife Phyllis; his children, Cheryl (Glen) McMahon, Deb (Brent) Dennison, Darrell (Wendy) Norby and Brad Norby; as well as his grandchildren Brody and Shayla McMahon, Christopher (Amber) Dennison, Nathon (Catherine) Dennison, Hailey Dennison, Stephanie (Jeremy Wiesgerber) Norby and Amber (Rolly Ancheta) Norby and two great-grandchildren, Britton and Jade. He will be missed as well by siblings, Don (Fern) Norby, Roy (Pat) Norby, Floyd (Dorothy) Norby and Deanna (Art) Scott and many loving relatives and friends. Arnold was predeceased by his parents Sam and Ann Norby as well as his sister Marion MacDonald. <br /> <br />Arnold&rsquo;s story began on August 21, 1932 in Wilkie, Saskatchewan. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball in the summer and hockey in the winter with his brothers. Arnold spent a great deal of time in the construction industry before joining Safeway Shelter Systems where he spent eighteen years and then worked in real estate, from which he retired in 1999. He was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed farming, camping, hunting and &ldquo;fishing&rdquo; to the very end. <br /> <br />A Memorial Service will be held at the Claresholm United Church on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 3:30 PM with the Reverend Murray Speer presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Arnold may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, Tel. 403-290-0110, www.alzheimer.com. <br /></div>
